2–3 pounds Polish, smoked, beef, or turkey sausage
2 cups tangy BBQ sauce
2 teaspoons liquid smoke (optional)
1/4 cup light brown sugar
Instructions
- Slice the sausage into ½‑inch rounds.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce and liquid smoke, then add the sausage slices and toss until each piece is well coated.
- Transfer the saucy sausage to a 9×13‑inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly, and sprinkle the brown sugar over the top.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C/Gas Mark 4) for 40–45 minutes, until the sauce is bubbling, sticky, and beautifully caramelized.
