Ingredients
6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
6 garlic cloves, minced
1/3 cup honey
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
1/2 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Place the boneless, skinless chicken thighs in the crockpot’s base. In a bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, honey, ketchup, soy sauce, and dried oregano until smooth and well blended.
- Pour this fragrant honey garlic sauce evenly over the chicken, making sure every piece is nicely coated.
- Cover the crockpot and let the chicken slow-cook on low for 4 to 6 hours, or on high for 2 to 3 hours, until it’s tender enough to shred effortlessly with a fork.
- For a luscious glaze, carefully remove the chicken once cooked and transfer the sauce to a small saucepan. Simmer over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes until it thickens slightly. Drizzle this glossy glaze back over the chicken just before serving.
- Finish by plating the chicken and sprinkling fresh parsley and toasted sesame seeds on top for a pop of color and texture. This pairs beautifully with steamed rice, noodles, or sautéed veggies.
